What is Ayurveda, really?
Ayurveda, literally 'the science of life', is a 5000-year-old system of healing rooted in the classical Indian texts. At its heart is a simple premise: each of us is unique, and health is not a single fixed target but a dynamic balance shaped by our constitution, environment, and choices...
Ayurveda organizes this balance through the concept of three doshas — Vata, Pitta, and Kapha — each representing a set of qualities and functions in the body-mind. Understanding one's constitution (Prakriti) is only the beginning; classical Ayurveda then considers current imbalances (Vikruti), medical history, lifestyle, and environment before making recommendations.
